Happy 5 Year Anniversary

Took this with a tripod and a self timer (my remote doesn't have batteries.) I almost kicked Adam in the face a few times running over to the bed. He's a great sport and always puts up with my antics.

Happy 5 year anniversary to my lovely husband, Adam!

Originally we were going to go to Downtown Sonoma but since the forecast is showing rain, we decided to take a rain check. That's pretty humorous if you ask me, but I know you didn't so for those who haven't visited Sonoma, it is such a nice area and we can't wait to explore it again. The last time we went together was probably a few years ago and I remember tasting delicious cheese at The Sonoma Cheese Factory. If you guys haven't been, I recommend visiting and checking out all the food spots and sights. It's super cute and quaint, plus there's a lot of beautiful spots for photos as well so you'll most likely find something there that you will enjoy.

In the mean time, we will most likely go try Bird And The Bottle in Santa Rosa and later on watch some Netflix together. Have any of you ever been? If so, what are your favorite dishes to get? We wanted to try their ramen, go figure. Maybe we will be adventorous and try some other goods. We absolutely love our noodles though so it's hard not to have it. Anyways, I thought in celebration of our love day, we would talk about 5 random facts/mini stories about us. I hope you guys enjoy and have a fabulous Friday and start to your weekend!

 1. In 2011, I met Adam through my cousin, Angel (from my dad's side because I have two Angel's in my family 😄 I can thank her for introducing me to my future husband) We worked on music together, along with a few other friends. He played the instruments and I sang. It wasn't love at first sight or anything mushy gushy like that but there was always something alluring about Adam's demeanor and personality. He had vibrant, dyed, red hair at the time (he's naturally dirty blonde) and I enjoyed his company whenever he was around. It wasn't until 2013 when we unquestionably became good friends and things started to unravel from there. At this point in time, I had been in denial about having a major crush on him but it was obvious that your girl was was putting the moves on this guy. I would bring him homemade egg rolls, text him randomly about my weird dreams (I have strange dreams, guys. Maybe one of these days I'll tell you so you can help me dissect them) Back to my story, Adam was trying to avoid me but you know, love wins in the end. We always joked that I stalked him into liking me but honestly, I knew he kind of liked me too. He had his guard up but I brought that down with delicious food. 😏

2. Fast forward to 2016, we had our three year anniversary shoot with my best gal pal, Jenna DeNatale. I had a feeling he was going to propose but didn't think too much of it. It wasn't until the end of our shoot when Adam jokingly asked "What if I asked you to marry me right now?" I thought he was playing as we would joke often. I replied back with laughter "Only if you have a ring!" and started to walk away. At that moment, he grabbed my arm and I looked down to see the most gorgeous Sapphire ring. (It belonged to his great grandma and we both shared the same birthstone so that was amazing and sentimental. I loved it!) He said "But I do have a ring" and I started bawling ugly happy tears while he hugged me. I responded "Are you for real?!" "What!?" and laughed some more. The whole moment was hilarious because Jenna was scrambling to take photos as she had no idea what was happening. I'm so happy we have those photos to look back upon.

3. Out of the both of us, Adam is by far the more romantic soul. I don't mean in a materialistic way as he shows he cares through expression, whenever he cooks for me, and when he gives me hugs. I mean, there's so much more I can dive into but he's an overall gentleman and a fine example of a kind human being. (Ahem, he's not really Human, his nickname is Vampire *or french fry, according to one of my aunt's.)

4. You can catch us watching Netflix pretty much every other night. We always find something random to watch. Our favorite show is DARK and The OA is probably our second favorite. I can never recommend these shows enough. You'll hear me talking about them any chance I get to. Now we are anxiously waiting for season 2 for both shows. That means more popcorn and late night eats, which on several occasions consists of Taco Bell (our guilty pleasure) or homemade pasta and bread. Delicious! Adam's the one who makes the pasta and guys, you are seriously missing out. He's a wonderful cook!

5. We love going on late night drives and walks. When we first started dating, that's all we would do. We haven't gone on too many cruises lately because Netflix. Last night we started watching The Rift: Dark Side of The Moon. No, just no. Save yourself the time and don't bother. We thought about re-watching DARK or The OA but it was getting late. Bonus random fact, Adam is also a late night owl but I mean he's in a different time zone. He doesn't sleep until around 5AM on most nights and I will sleep around 2:30 / 3AM.

Anyways I hope you guys found some of those entertaining to read. Until next time, tootles! P.S. I love you Adam. I know I drive you crazy but I'm grateful to call you my best friend and husband. (I know you're reading this now so kisses and can't wait to celebrate with you!)

XOXO,
Anny
